Willowood’s Varix
Difenoconazole 6% + Validamycin 6% SC
FungicideProduct Overview
Willowood Varix (Difenoconazole 6% + Validamycin 6% SC) is a patented combination fungicide (Patent No. 309296) from Willowood Chemicals. It joins a systemic triazole with a contact antibiotic to control the two most damaging paddy diseases, sheath blight and blast. How it Works: Difenoconazole moves inside the plant and stops the fungus from building its cell membranes (ergosterol), while Validamycin blocks the trehalase enzyme that Rhizoctonia solani needs to spread, so sheath blight lesions stop growing. Key Features & Benefits: • Dual Action: Systemic plus contact protection in one spray. • Preventive and Curative: Protects healthy tissue and checks disease already started. • Two Diseases, One Product: Controls sheath blight and blast. • Easy to Use: Suspension concentrate (SC) mixes evenly in water. Recommended Crop & Dosage Guide: • Paddy (Rice): 400 ml per acre (1 L/ha) in 200 litres of water per acre (500 L/ha) at the first sign of sheath blight or blast. • Pre-harvest interval: 40 days. Precautions: Wear goggles, gloves and protective clothing while handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke while spraying. Keep away from children, animals, food and feed. Dangerous to fish: do not contaminate ponds or water bodies; destroy the container after use as directed on the leaflet.
