Indogulf’s Dhamal-50 – Pymetrozine 50% WG
Dhamal-50 is a systemic insecticide manufactured by Indogulf Cropsciences Ltd. It contains pymetrozine 50% WG and is recommended for controlling brown plant hopper (BPH) in rice. It stops the pest from feeding, causing it to die gradually. Apply when the pest appears and reaches the Economic Threshold Level (ETL), following the registered product label.

- Lignosulfonic acid sodium salt – 10.00% w/w
- Mixture of isomers of dibutylnaphthalene sulphonic acid sodium salt – 5.00% w/w
- Polydimethylsiloxane (antifoaming agent) – 0.20% w/w
- Sodium sulphate (carrier) – 5.00% w/w
- Urea – 10.00% w/w
- Polymer with formaldehyde – 10.00% w/w

Mode of Action
Pymetrozine acts on the insect's feeding behaviour. It stops the pest from feeding, causing it to die gradually. Pests not directly hit by the spray may also be controlled.
Application & Dose
Application: Foliar spray using a knapsack sprayer.
Dose: 120 g/acre (VERIFY against the registered Dhamal-50 leaflet).
Water: 200 litres/acre (VERIFY against the registered Dhamal-50 leaflet).
Time of application: When brown plant hopper appears and reaches the Economic Threshold Level (ETL).
Maximum sprays: Two, starting with the first spray at initial pest infestation reaching ETL.
Waiting period before harvest: NOT FOUND – please check the label.

Safety

- Avoid contaminating air and water bodies with the insecticide.
- Antidote / first aid: No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically. For skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash affected skin with soap and water. For eye contact, rinse with clean water for several minutes. In case of ingestion, seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
