LETHAL 10G – Chlorpyrifos 10% G
LETHAL 10G is a ready-to-use granular insecticide from Insecticides (India) Limited. It contains Chlorpyrifos, an organophosphate insecticide, coated on bentonite granules. It is registered for the control of Stem Borer and Gall Midge in paddy (rice).

Mode of Action
Chlorpyrifos belongs to the organophosphate group (IRAC Group 1B). It blocks an enzyme (acetylcholinesterase) that insects need for their nerves to work. Insects that touch or eat the chemical stop feeding, become paralysed and die.
Application & Dose
Application: broadcast granules in the field (soil/water application)
Dose: as per the leaflet (CIB&RC approved dose: 4 kg per acre / 10 kg per hectare)
Water: not required – granules are applied directly
Time of application: as per the enclosed leaflet

Safety
- Wear gloves, mask and full clothing while handling and applying.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying. Wash hands and face after use.
- Keep away from children, food and animal feed. Do not apply against the wind.
- Do not use on crops not mentioned on the label and leaflet. Destroy the empty pouch after use.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and fire.
- Antidote / first aid: Atropine sulphate, to be given by a doctor as printed on the label and leaflet. Show the label to the doctor.
