Wilfit Extra is a selective, pre-emergence herbicide containing Pretilachlor 37% EW, used mainly in paddy for effective control of annual grasses, sedges and some broadleaf weeds. It inhibits very-long-chain fatty acid (VLCFA) synthesis, preventing the growth of young weeds. It is applied to the field before or soon after weed emergence, with proper water and application conditions.
